When a sweep is carried out, the brush must make its way into the cowl to clean it properly. To stop short of the cowl is pointless, as the whole chimney/flue needs to be swept.
Disclaimer: A chimney stack, pot, and any cowls should be able to withstand a chimney sweep. However, if for any reason a pot / cowl breaks, or becomes dislodged, we cannot be held responsible. It is the responsibility of the home owner. However, we will advise on any remedial works required to bring it back up to a safe standard.

Please note: It is crucial to avoid lighting your fire the night before a scheduled sweep. The chimney and flue must remain cool. Any damage caused by the hot ash is not the responsibility of Elite Chimney Sweeps.
